Quilts for comfort and joy

My quilts usually begin with a feeling, a memory, or something that catches my eye. It might be a season, a holiday, a place I love, a person I’m making the quilt for, or even a single fabric that speaks to me. Once I have the idea, I start imagining how it could look as a quilt.

Sewing the quilt is where the magic happens. Piece by piece, block by block, the design starts to emerge. What started as a simple idea is now something warm, useful, and full of meaning. Every quilt tells a story—not just in its design, but in the time, thought, and love that went into creating it.

So many ideas. It is hard to decide what to make next. This is my newest pattern.

The Canadian Maple Leaf Medallion Quilt is a bold medallion-style quilt celebrating Canada's iconic maple leaf. A striking red leaf takes center stage, surrounded by flying geese, checker-board, and chevron borders arranged on point for dramatic visual impact. This quilt that is both timeless and contemporary. It honours the beauty of the Canadian landscape.

There is also a table topper and runner available.
